Conservation Toolkit
Northern Prairies Land Trust fundamentally believe that farmers, ranchers, and landowner overwhelming want to preserve the land and water for their kids and future generations. However, for many of them, they are stuck within this larger system of agriculture and land use that may prevent them from implementing practices that will be for the betterment of their acres from either lack of opportunities and knowledge, or financial and strategy. The trend of our current land use practices do not lean towards conservation, but profit. And honestly, we bet many folks in production agriculture, doing the work on the land, aren't in it for copious amounts of wealth, but rather to live comfortably and leave a legacy.
Deciding the future of your land will be satisfying to you and your family, and may be financially beneficial. It may be emotional, bringing your deepest values into focus. Choosing the right option for you and your family will ensure you have peace of mind for many years to come.
